End of 2021 - 2022 School Year Update

Dear Parents, The end of the 2021-2022 school year is fast approaching. On March 14, 2022 the Claymont Board of Education made a decision to use the ESSER Funds for building upgrades. Their decision was aided through community surveys and public participation at a community forum meeting. The Board, along with their decision regarding the use of ESSER funds was decided to realign several grade levels for next school year, with this decision a few changes will occur for the end of the school year. 

Next year realignment: 
PS - Kdg. will be placed at the building on Eastport Ave. 
Grades 1 -2 will be placed at the building on Trenton Ave. 
Grades 3 - 5 will be placed at the Intermediate Building. D

ue to teachers and staff moving and needing time to pack their classroom belongings at the end of the school year, changes will be made. We will be very appreciative of any community member wishing to help move the staff. 

May 18th Last day for Kindergarten students 
May 19th Last day for preschool students 
May 19th - 23rd Kindergarten Screening 
May 23rd Last day for Grade 1 - 5 students 
May 24th - 26th 8th Grade DC Trip 
May 26th Last day for Grade 6 - 12/move PS - 5 
May 27th HS Graduation/move PS - 5 
May 31st Move PS -5 

Along with changes to the end of the school year, we will be adjusting the start dates for Grades 1-5. Those students will start on August 22, 2022. This provides additional time for our staff to prepare for our students' return for the 2022 -2023 school year.
