Claymont High School's SADD-TI chapter encourages its members to adopt substance-free lifestyles and to avoid potentially destructive decisions related to alcohol, drugs, peer pressure, and behavior. Because the issues facing young people today are often too difficult for them to address alone, SADD-TI strives to open the lines of communication between responsible youth and adults, as we feel that effective communication is the key to helping young people make healthy decisions. Furthermore, we strive to create an organization that not only educates students about the dangers of destructive decisions, but fosters a climate of support, empathy, and trust for its members.
